Following completion of the reroofing works at Solent Junior School, I wanted to write on behalf of myself and the school to say thank you to you and all of your team who worked tirelessly on what, as you know, was a very challenging project for a multitude of reasons.

First and foremost, despite significant bad weather and the impact of COVID-19, it was remarkable that you were able to keep the site adequately resourced and moving forwards at all times in order to complete on programme.

Due to the restricted nature of the site, it was of vital importance that your operatives conducted themselves with stringent regard for the health and safety of pupils and staff at all times, and I am delighted that at no stage during the project were concerns raised relating to health and safety issues, whilst the continued 'can do' attitude of Callum and other operatives on site was one of several key drivers behind the success of the project.

As always, the quality of workmanship on both flat and pitched roofing elements was excellent, whilst associated works such as leadwork detailing, rainwater goods, brickwork repairs and decorations could not be faulted.

Finally, a word for Andre, who's diligence in overseeing the contract on a daily basis combined with regular, close liaison between myself, and the client, was another key driver behind the success of the project.

I know the client were extremely happy with the end result, as was I, and I would like to say a big thank you for all your effort and I look forward to our next project together.

As we draw near the completion of the roofing project, I wanted to let you know that it has been an absolute pleasure working with your team here at George Abbot School. Under the direction of Michael Wedlake our surveyor, the project could not have run any more smoothly.

As you are aware due to the length of the project we needed to remove and replace one the roofs whilst students were on site. Before any work commenced it was great to meet with Anthony and share my risk assessment with another health and safety professional, especially one who I knew would be visiting site unannounced for the duration of the project.

Dale and Dan were brilliant at keeping in touch, attending site meetings, and responding very quickly to any queries. It felt very much that it was a collaborative project with everyone "pulling in the same direction." It was certainly lovely during the recent torrential downpours to not have to worry about the two roofs we replaced leaking, and they look spectacular.

I would especially like to say a big thanks to Brad and his on-site team. We had strict vehicle movement rules for them and all their deliveries, and these rules were always adhered to. Brad was available to talk to at any time and again responded very quickly, especially when plans made the

previous day to keep the children safe whilst scaffolding was delivered, needed to be changed for reasons outside of our control.

The project has been completed on time and on budget despite the awful weather we had during the school holidays, which reflects well on my team as well.

Julie and I wanted to pass on our thanks and feedback on the roofing team whilst we had Netflix filming on Monday and Tuesday this week.

The team were so accomodating in hlpeing us to ensure the filming went well and Netflix also wanted us to thank you.

The guys' communicate with us really well and always help to find solutions when they are needed. They are a great team.

You probably know by now that Lee and Josh completed the remedial tiling work to our roof on Friday and Monday. I am pleased to inform you that this has been done to our complete satisfaction.

I would also like to let you know that the team was very professional in their work and did so in a friendly way. Lee, in particular, went out of his way to keep us informed of their progress with the job and how the tiling would look when finished.

I am writing to thank you and your team for the roofing works completed at River Beach Primary School last year.

Despite extremely poor weather conditions, the work was completed in good time, on budget and to a high standard - needless ro sy we are delighted with the end result. It is pleasing to report that the roof has withstood numerous tests since completion and the school can now rest assured in the knowledge that they willr emain dry for many years to come.

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your companies work, in conjunction with Fowlers, on doing an amazing job on our recent roofing project.

I was incredibly apprehensive about carrying out such an extensive project during term time and I need not have been. From start to finish the project was well managed and carried out in a professional way. 

What made the biggest difference to the school was the clear communication and plan that we had in place and the fact that you were definitely working with us. You avoided working around times that were difficult for us and ensured that there was as little disruption to the teaching day as possible.

Another key area for me was that you always placed Health & Safety issues first and foremost and prioritised keeping the children completely safe at all times. When you had higher risk aspects to complete these were done outside teaching times and when the children were not on site. The site was left professionally at all times and throughout the entire project I did not have a complaint or a difficult situation to manage. Key to all this was the foreman on site who did a brilliant job liaising with us on a day to day basis, however siting behind this was a comprehensive schedule and plan that had been though about in meticulous detail.

I was very impressed with not only the high standard of the completed work but the professionalism of the whole team throughout the period, especially in regard to health and safety issues and working with the school. You managed to carry out a significant job without impacting on the day to day running of the school.

I would recommend your team without hesitation to other schools and for WSCC to continue to use.

I write to confirm that I have been working with Richard Soan Roofing since October 2015 and would like to put on record how pleased I am with the approach to Health & Safety shown by all at Richard Soan Roofing in the last 12 months.

There has been an outstanding attitude from all levels of Management and also I am particularly pleased with the approach of the employees on the coal face as it were.

During the year we have completed over 20 site inspections and on each occasion not only the Site Foreman but also the whole gang have interacted with me positively on my visits. Most of these visits have been unannounced and at all times the sites have been well managed.

The annual training day held in December was very successful and I feel you did wel to not only have attendance from all of your staff but also the sub-contractors that you use. Some of these smaller contractors struggle to provide training so this was extremely useful for them especially as it was all organised and paid for by the Company.

Once again congratulations on the performance and continuing to gain accreditation with CHAS, Safe Contractor and Construction Line.
