There are several types of covering which can be used on Flat Roofs

• Bituminous Membranes - Built Up Felt: Is a roofing system using multiple layers of bitumen-impregnated ‘felt’, often laid in 2 or 3 layers directly on top of either decking or insulation depending on the project requirements, typically the felt is welded together by applying heat.

• Single Ply Membranes: Flexible sheets of factory-manufactured compounded synthetic materials (like Polyvinyl Chloride - PVC) providing strength, flexibility, and long lasting durability, fixed to the roof similarly to felt roofing. All work adheres to The Single Ply Roofing Association recommendations.

• Mastic Asphalt: A mixture of aggregates and polymer modified bitumen, applied in a molten state using floats and trowels to flat roofs, balconies and terraces to form a durable seamless waterproof covering. All Mastic Asphalt work strictly follows the Mastic Asphalt Council recommendations.

• Liquid Coatings: The application of cold liquid roof coatings, which are glass-fibre reinforced and provide seamless waterproofing around roof protrusions and details. No open flames are needed, and they are naturally resistant to moss and lichen.

• Leadwork (Flat Roofing Material): Lead can itself be used as a covering for flat roofs, though typically in smaller areas such as dormer or bay windows. All leadwork is strictly undertaken in accordance with the recommendations of The Lead Development Association.
